LeaderBoards Walkthrough

Understanding LeaderBoards 📊

A Leaderboard is a simple, ranked list that shows the top-performing team members in specific areas. Think of it as a scoreboard, not an analytical tool. Its main purpose is to give team members, like sales reps, a quick, visual snapshot of where they stand in comparison to their peers for the current month.

What Leaderboards Show

We offer leaderboards for key areas such as Calls_sales, Prospecting, Company, Projections, and Calls_csm. Each one ranks the team based on the most relevants Key Performance Indicators (KPI) for that area.

For example:

  • Prospecting: Ranks who is scheduling the most calls.

  • Calls_sales: Ranks who is generating the highest net revenue or has the best closing ratio (%).

  • Company: Ranks reps by the most total cash generated (from sales calls, payments, etc.).

  • Projections: Ranks who is best meeting or surpassing their monthly targets.

  • Calls_csm: Ranks who is hosting the most successful events.

Key Limitations: What a Leaderboard is NOT

To avoid confusion, it is critical to understand that a Leaderboard is NOT a dashboard. It has key limitations:

  • No Filtering or Customization: You cannot filter, modify, or change the data shown. It is a view-only feature.

  • Fixed Timeframe: Leaderboards always show data from the first day of the current month up to today. You cannot select a custom date range.

  • Monthly Reset: The data resets to zero for everyone on the first day of each new month.

  • Not for Analysis: It is not meant for drawing deep conclusions about your performance. For detailed analysis, you must use a proper dashboard.

How to Use It Like a Pro

The Leaderboard is simple to use. First, select the client whose leaderboard you wish to view. Once selected, you can easily see which representatives are performing the best.

(In this example, we are using a client named “X.” In a real scenario, you will see the actual name of your client or team displayed.)

While the leaderboard provides a simplified and organized view, you can always access the corresponding dashboard for more detailed information. It serves as an excellent tool for recognizing achievements, offering constructive feedback, and fostering healthy competition among team members.
