The best way to ensure that nothing breaks is to, instead of copying and pasting values, ensure that you click “values only” when pasting.
Also, especially if you don’t know exactly how things work, never drag down rows, even if you think it will save you time… in case you break it.
Another important thing is the use of Ctrl/Command + Z to undo any errors as soon as they happen, so they are not permanently damaged.
It’s also recommended to hide the formula bar. You can do this by going to the menu and selecting View > Show > Formula bar.
To navigate more comfortably, hide the top bar menu of Google Sheets — you can do this by simply clicking on the small arrow at the top right.
Finally, for the fastest way of use, it is recommended to use of a mouse scroll because there are many rows that you need to go up & down all the time… but also because when you “hold” the “shift” + use the scroll, the screen moves left and right so you can navigate faster when it has many columns as well.
