linkLinks

Here you will learn how to use the Links input table.

This page serves as the one-stop hub, where all scheduling links are generated and stored. Whether you're a setter, cold caller, or closer, youโ€™ll use it whenever you need a link to book a call, while keeping tracking fully intact.

Hereโ€™s what it looks like for a Sales Rep:

Youโ€™ll see a lot of terms on this page, but the purpose of this SOP isnโ€™t to explain each one here. Remember, all terms are individually explained in detail in the Glossary of Variables section:

How it Works

This section is managed by iDealOps, and we generate the short link for you. What does that mean exactly? It means all you have to do is copy and paste the short link, and itโ€™s as simple as that.

Thereโ€™s a peculiar way to copy links from the Links tabโ€”using the usual Ctrl+C / โŒ˜+C wonโ€™t work. Instead, follow this quick extra step:

  1. Hover over the Link_short.

  2. Wait for the link preview pop-up to appear.

  3. Right-click the link inside the pop-up.

  4. The link will automatically be selected, and a menu will appear.

  5. Click Copy.

  6. Done! Youโ€™ve successfully copied the link and can paste it wherever you like. โœ…

Example:

As a sales rep, depending on what you want to track, youโ€™ll use one link or another. Donโ€™t worryโ€”weโ€™ve got you covered. We design each link to fit your specific needs, so you only need to remember that each link serves a particular purpose tailored for you.

If you ever need a specific link that isnโ€™t already available, simply submit a ticket through the Help Center to request it, and youโ€™ll receive it as soon as possible.

Your Workflow as a sales rep

โœ… Copy the short link we designed for your needs :) โœ… Send it to the lead through your preferred communication channel

Also, to give you a better overview of what each specific link is for, there is a โ€œNameโ€ column on the right (as shown in the picture) that will help you quickly identify it. This is the official name we assign to the link, allowing you to easily recognize its purpose without having to guess based on the other columnsโ€”just by reading the link's name.

Even though itโ€™s not strictly necessary if youโ€™re a sales rep, itโ€™s still valuable to understand each step of the process. So, letโ€™s break it down:

Thereโ€™s essential information embedded in each link, such as the set source, the name of the rep, and the type of link (meaning who itโ€™s for or what itโ€™s intended to be used for). Also, several UTM parameters are used to add tracking info to the base link. As more UTMs are added, the link becomes longer and more complex.

However, let's look at an example so you can better understand it.

  1. As you can see in the image, we start with the base link.

  1. Then, we shorten it, and that gives us the short link.

What is happening in the middle?

Every parameter is added as a UTM to the base link, based on the values in the columns that follow 'Base_link', making the link long and cluttered.

This is what the link would look like if we used it without shortening it:

While this extended link is technically perfect for analytics, it can appear visually overwhelming, which isnโ€™t ideal when sharing it with leads.

That's why, to avoid reducing the click-through rate and keep things user-friendly, we shorten the link. This gives us the best of both worlds: a clean, visually appealing link and full tracking with all UTM parameters intact.

These shortened links are generated using the app-calls domain, and voilร , you get a clean, effective link thatโ€™s perfect for sending to leads. As you can see:
